Features

  1. 01

    ROS teaching platform

Runs on the open-source Robot Operating System, with ROS course documents, explanatory videos and a common ROS toolkit that take learners from entry level to professional development.

  2. 02

    Lidar mapping and navigation

A 2D lidar supports Gmapping, Hector, Karto and Cartographer mapping, so the robot builds its own map and uses it for fixed-point and multipoint navigation with dynamic obstacle avoidance.

  3. 03

    Depth vision

A 3D depth camera and onboard computing support image recognition, colour block following, KCF target tracking, AR tag following, and face recognition and tracking.

  4. 04

    Voice interaction

A six-channel far-field microphone array and a separate voice recognition routine support voice recognition, voice synthesis, voice control and voice navigation.

  5. 05

    Open hardware for expansion

Standard interfaces include four AB encoder motor ports, six PWM servo ports for a six-degree-of-freedom robot arm, four TTL serial ports, CAN and SWD debugging.

  6. 06

    Python programming

Learners can program the robot in Python and control it across platforms.

  7. 07

    Included controls and modules

The published accessories list includes a USB wireless controller, a mini keyboard, a model airplane remote control and RGB lights alongside the lidar, depth camera, microphone module and touch screen.

  8. 08

    Lab and competition ready

Mature, stable algorithms, standard interfaces and room for expansion suit laboratory experiments, algorithm verification and robot competitions.
